sierra francesca enea (she/they)

is a brooklyn-based, multidisciplinary artist, educator, and producer working across photography, film, and visual archives. with a long-standing photo practice, she collages both found and self-produced images to unearth memories held within her body to rebuild the histories of her life, her family, and her loved ones. her background in biology and anthropology informs this practice, leveraging auto-ethnography as a method to interrogate personal experience, local systems of power, archives, nature, and experimental image-making.

sierra has taught and produced workshops since 2023, beginning in her living room and expanding to collaborations across the tri-state area. she has worked with artists and organizations of all sizes to facilitate art programs for a variety of groups and communities. some of her collaborations include Riseboro Community Partnerships, the freefilm project, Tiny Arts Supply, SquareSpace, DCGreens, Melonnation, and several artists, including Artist and Filmmaker Raine Roberts, Somatic Practitioner Mengwen Cao, filmmaker Prisca Edwards, and multidisciplinary artist Michael Seward.

sierra is dedicated to making art accessible and is available to teach and curate public and private art programs. she currently offers monthly, group, and 1:1 sessions.

professionally, sierra has worked in the tv/film industry as a producer with a focus on field production, archival research and acquisition, and working with personal histories and storytelling.
