Lucy Bijah
“Lucy Bijah” is a spoken word and experimental visual that honors the life of the first Black American woman to have their poetry documented in literature. As a spoken word, this piece parallel’s Lucy Terry Prince’s famous poem where she critiques a bar fight. This project was written and produced by me and brought to life by Des Mirera of LITE+ who shot and directed this visual.
